1. Torid

Acquisition | Clan Dojo (Bio Lab) |
Weapon Type | Grenade Launcher (Base), Beam Rifle (Incarnon) |
Mastery Rank | MR 4 |
Justification | Super powerful Incarnon form, easy to charge! |
Incarnon Evolutions | 0, 1, 1, 2 |
The Torid used to be good, but then other weapons got stronger in Warframe. But guess what? It’s back and better than ever! It got a special upgrade called an Incarnon Genesis Adapter, and now it’s maybe the best primary weapon in the whole game!
What’s cool about the Torid is that you just need to hit enemies to charge it up – no fancy headshots needed! Once it’s charged, it turns into a super toxic laser beam, like a super strong version of another cool weapon called the Amprex. This beam can hit up to six bad guys at once!
When it’s in laser beam mode, the Torid hits super hard and can melt enemies really fast. Get the adapter, make it stronger with upgrades, and you’ll be wiping out groups of enemies in no time. Think of it as the bigger, badder brother of the Kuva Nukor, another really powerful gun.
2. Latron Prime

Acquisition | Void Relics |
Weapon Type | Marksman Rifle (Base), Grenade Launcher (Incarnon) |
Mastery Rank | MR 10 |
Justification | Crazy high damage and hits lots of enemies! |
Incarnon Evolutions | 0, 2, 1, 3 |
The Latron Prime is like a really good sniper rifle, but it got left behind as newer weapons came out. But now, with its Incarnon Genesis Adapter, it’s a total beast! If you’re good at aiming, this weapon will reward you big time with some serious area-of-effect damage!
When you transform it, the Latron Prime becomes a grenade launcher that shoots bouncing bombs. These bombs explode every time they bounce! With the right upgrades, just one bounce explosion can wipe out a whole squad of tough enemies. If you trap enemies in a small space, they don’t stand a chance!
It hits hard, it’s easy to use, and it has tons of awesome upgrades to pick from. You can make it super accurate, make it strip enemy armor, or make headshots even stronger. If you like sniper rifles and weapons that blast groups of enemies, the Latron Prime is a must-have!
3. Felarx

Acquisition | Holdfasts (Rank 3) |
Weapon Type | Automatic Shotgun (Base), Dual Pistols (Incarnon) |
Mastery Rank | MR 14 |
Justification | Super high damage, gets stronger with combos! |
Incarnon Evolutions | 0, 3, 2, 3, 1 |
The Felarx is an automatic shotgun you can get from the Holdfasts group on the Zariman ship. Like other Holdfasts weapons, it’s an Incarnon weapon, so it has a special Incarnon form and upgrades. But unlike most, the Felarx’s special form isn’t the best part. It turns into two pistols that aren’t that strong. They’re okay for groups, but the regular shotgun is already good at that.
What makes the Felarx amazing is how much damage it can do! One of its upgrades, called Overwhelming Attrition, gives a HUGE damage boost to hits that aren’t critical hits, half the time! It also gets stronger when you use combo attacks, like another weapon called the Cedo. Put these together, and the Felarx can do millions of damage every second! Super tough enemies don’t stand a chance!
4. Cedo

Acquisition | Entrati (Rank 5) |
Weapon Type | Shotgun w Glaive Alt-Fire |
Mastery Rank | MR 8 |
Justification | Combo damage, great for setting up status effects! |
The Cedo is the signature shotgun of a Warframe character named Lavos. It has a special ability called Condition Overload, which makes it stronger when enemies have more status effects on them. This stacks with other damage boosts, making it super powerful! If you can put a few status effects on an enemy, the Cedo can blast them away in one shot! The damage is crazy!
Luckily, the Cedo can apply status effects really easily with its alternate fire. It throws a glaive, like a boomerang, that bounces and explodes between enemies, putting a status effect on each one. Upgrade the Cedo to shoot more projectiles, and you have the ultimate status effect setup weapon. Then, your main shotgun fire or other combo weapons will be even stronger!
5. Burston Prime

Acquisition | In-Game Market (Base), Kuva Liches (Kuva) |
Weapon Type | Burst Rifle (Base), Explosive Minigun (Incarnon) |
Mastery Rank | MR 12 |
Justification | High uptime on Incarnon minigun form! |
Incarnon Evolutions | 0, 2, 3, 2 |
The Burston Prime used to be just okay. It didn’t have the best damage, especially for how high level you need to be to use it. But thanks to Incarnon Genesis Adapters, we can finally see its true power!
The Incarnon upgrades make its damage and critical hit chance much better, but the Incarnon form is what makes it amazing. When transformed, the Burston Prime turns into an explosive minigun that shoots fire bullets! And unlike most Incarnon weapons, you get a TON of ammo for it – 600 rounds! That’s even more ammo than the Burston Prime has normally!
Just land a few headshots with the regular rifle, and you can turn the Burston Prime into a supercharged explosive minigun for a long time. It might not be the strongest Incarnon weapon, but it lasts forever! If you like weapons like the Acceltra or Soma, you’ll definitely want to get the Burston Prime’s Incarnon Adapter.
6. Kuva Tonkor

Acquisition | In-Game Market (Base), Kuva Liches (Kuva) |
Weapon Type | Grenade Launcher |
Mastery Rank | MR 5 (Base), N/A (Lich) |
Justification | Best early-game area-of-effect weapon! |
Need to clear a room full of enemies fast? It’s hard to beat the Tonkor and its Kuva version! This grenade launcher shoots bouncing grenades that explode and damage a big area. It also has really good ammo, especially for a weapon that explodes. You get 30 grenades to play with before you run out! Most explosive weapons are lucky to get half that much ammo.
You can get the regular Tonkor pretty early in the game, making it a great choice for new players. More experienced players should try to get the Kuva version, which is even stronger with better damage and critical hits. You can even take down tough armored enemies with just raw damage.
7. Tenet Arca Plasmor

Acquisition | Sister Liches (Tenet) |
Weapon Type | Projectile Shotgun |
Mastery Rank | N/A |
Justification | Destroys tough enemies easily! |
Not many enemies can survive a single shot from the Tenet Arca Plasmor. Each shot from this plasma shotgun is like a big wave of energy that wipes out anything it touches. It does over 1,000 damage per shot if you get a good bonus, and it has a pretty good chance to hit critically for a shotgun. It also only does Radiation damage, which is super effective against some of the toughest enemies in the game.
This raw power can be made even stronger with the right upgrades. With certain mods and Arcanes, this weapon can destroy almost any enemy, even on the hardest difficulty. If a tough enemy gets close, just fire a shot in their direction. The sheer damage of this gun will erase them from existence! It’s like the BFG of Warframe!
8. Fulmin Prime

Acquisition | In-Game Market (Base), Void Relics (Prime) |
Weapon Type | Rifle (Base), Shotgun (Alt-Fire) |
Mastery Rank | MR 12 (Prime) |
Justification | Easy to get, strong even in tough missions! |
For weapons that are good for beginners, it’s hard to beat the Fulmin and its Prime version. You can craft the regular Fulmin pretty early on, and the Prime version a bit later. The Fulmin is a rifle that can switch between a shotgun like the Arca Plasmor and a full-auto lightning rifle with the push of a button. It has infinite ammo, good critical and status chances, and is easy to get.
The Fulmin’s basic stats are great for playing through the main game, and with a few upgrades, it can even take on tough endgame missions. And once you get the Prime version, it’s more than capable of crushing even the hardest content with some upgrades.
9. Kuva Hek

Acquisition | In-Game Market (Base), Kuva Liches (Kuva) |
Weapon Type | Shotgun |
Mastery Rank | N/A (Kuva) |
Justification | Hek is best early weapon, Kuva Hek is great all-around! |
There are few things in Warframe as satisfying as shooting an enemy with the Hek and watching them fly backwards! This shotgun does a lot of damage for how early you can get it. It also has a special upgrade mod that makes it shoot even more projectiles! Add some basic damage upgrades, and you have a perfect weapon for a new player.
The regular Hek starts to become less powerful in harder missions, but you can fix that with the Kuva version. The Kuva Hek has much better stats and can shoot four shots at once! This burst damage makes it great for taking down tough bosses. It might not be as crazy strong as the Felarx, but for players who don’t have those super late-game weapons, the Kuva Hek is a great choice.
10. Ignis Wraith

Acquisition | Clan Dojo (Tenno Lab) |
Weapon Type | Flamethrower |
Mastery Rank | MR 9 |
Justification | Great mid-game weapon, sets enemies on fire easily! |
The Ignis Wraith might not be the absolute best beam weapon anymore, but it’s still awesome for players in the middle of the game. It’s cheap to build and has good stats, making it perfect for expanding your weapon collection. You can get the regular Ignis early on, and the Wraith version is even better and easy to get from Clan Dojos.
It’s great at setting enemies on fire and doing Heat damage, which is strong against enemies without armor. You don’t need many upgrades to beat the main game with it, and it can even handle tougher missions with some investment. A build that combines fire and viral damage will tear through most armored enemies.
